RESCHEDULED: Rewilding Using Ecosomatics and Yoga

Interested in reconnecting to the land around you? Feeling Nature within you? Connecting to your ancestral ways of being that recognize the wisdom of the Living Earth?

The idea of using our bodies to remember our interbeing and using nature to help us embody is ECOSOMATICS. I say “remember” because for 99% of human history, we were in tune with the rhythms of Nature, recognizing our interdependence and interbeing with Nature. The way we lived, our rituals, our skills, helped us regulate our nervous system and live in harmony with the more than human world. In this REWILDING workshop, we will reconnect to these ancestral ways of being, to reconnect and heal.

Join me for a transformative experience on Sunday, October 6th from 10:30am-12:30pm at Belle Isle in Detroit. In this workshop we will learn about and cultivate interconnection/interbeing with the Living Earth, and the role that Yoga, Ayurveda, and Mindfulness can play in this interconnection. We will also spend time remembering/relearning ancestral ways of being in relationship with the more than human world.

The workshop will be outside rain or shine (unless there is severe weather in which case a rain date will be provided) and include movement, walking, discussion, meditation, breathwork, and journaling. No yoga mat is required but you may want to bring something lightweight to sit on (something you can carry while walking) and a journal. The walk will be about 2 miles and include both paved and unpaved portions. More details on what to bring and the exact location on Belle Isle will be provided upon registration.

Registration is limited to 12 participants to provide an intimate connection with the Land and each other.
